The Royal International School, Kurunegala, has been honored with the Outstanding Green Commitment Award 2023 in the School Sector by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka. eco-friendly initiatives and setting a standard for green building and operations in educational institutions. This recognition is a testament to the school’s leadership in environmental responsibility, contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for all.
We’ve built a unique and vibrant plastic bottle wall as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability. By repurposing discarded plastic bottles, we not only reduce waste but also create a beautiful, functional structure that serves as a daily reminder of the importance of recycling.
We implement Phase 1 in 2018 and Phase 2, which begins in 2018, to collectively contribute 130kWh of electricity for both the school’s requirements and the local CEB.
