Welcoming back our students

Dear Parents of the Secondary Section,

It has been a challenging time for you as parents and for us as a school when an island-wide decision was taken to shut down all educational institutes. Since then we have tried a variety of methods to stimulate learning in your child – from worksheets at the very beginning to video lessons and to live lessons. Our teachers have tried their best to keep engaged with you and the child, holding virtual parent meetings as well as sending individual messages and following up as much as they can. We have to admire their commitment to your child’s welfare and for the tremendous effort they have made.  We also thank you for your support and cooperation for having helped the school to carry out our duties.


In accordance with Government instructions, we will be resuming school for your children according to the following schedule. The current schedule is a precautionary measure and for the students to get familiarized with the school environment once again. Grade 10 and above will continue as has been the practice. School will resume as normal for Grades 5-8 as soon as possible.


Schedule and Dates

  • A special timetable has been prepared for Grades 5-8 and school will close at 1.50pm.
  • Normal timetable will be upheld for the Grades 9 – 13 until 1.50 p.m.
  • An extra session will be held for the Grades 10 – 13 (2.15 p.m. – 3.20 p.m.)
  • Online classes will also continue and we will be communicating the timetable in the class groups on Whatsapp.


Information on fees

In light of the prevailing situation we are pleased to announce to our Secondary parents that the third term computer fee will be waived off.

For those who have settled the annual fees already, we will be in touch with you regarding the discount.

We kindly request you to settle all outstanding fees as soon as possible to help the school continue educating your child.


Safety of your child

In order to ensure the safest environment possible;

  1. Students should bring their own sanitizer bottles and two masks. Please attempt to bring a re-usable mask to ensure we leave no lasting damage to the environment. There is a limited stock available at the school bookshop at the Secondary premises. The bookshop will be functioning 8am to 3pm weekdays and 8am to 12pm on Saturdays.
  2. Students must bring their own food and their own water. The canteen will not be operational and no student will be permitted to leave the school premises.
  3. Measures have been taken to ensure that frequented surfaces are cleaned and disinfected as regularly as possible.
  4. Temperature checking will be mandatory upon entry to school and will be recorded. If your child has a high temperature, we will reluctantly be compelled to not grant him/her access to the school premises to ensure the safety of the school community.
  5. Clean hands – the best defense against the virus. We have set up stations throughout the school premises for this purpose.
  6. We will not be accepting parcels during school hours so please refrain from this practice.
  7. Parents and students are responsible for ensuring their safety travelling to school from home and back.


Every possible safety measure will be taken regarding the safety of the students. We will be sending a Covid-19 screening questionnaire, please fill and return to your class teacher. This is mandatory.
