Upper Kindergarten (UKG)

At Royal International School, our UKG programme marks the final stage of Pre-Primary education, designed to ensure a confident and seamless transition to Junior School. We focus on nurturing the whole child — balancing independence with guided learning and inspiring confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning. Children engage in a wide range of academic, social, and creative experiences, with special emphasis on strengthening reading skills. Our goal is to help every child become a fluent, joyful
reader who enjoys exploring language and ideas.

Our age-appropriate, theme-based curriculum integrates structured academics with playful, hands-on learning that supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through activities such as:

• Sensory and manipulative play
• Art, craft, and creative expression
• Music, movement, and dramatic play
• Storytelling, puppetry, and show-and-tell
