Head Girl & Head Boy Profiles

Senara De Silva

Senara De Silva

Head Girl - 2019

Being at Royal International School for 14 years, Senara De Silva stands as the Head Girl for the year 2019. She has successfully completed her GCE O/L’s in 2018. She’s an active member of Sri Lanka Unites program focusin on reconciliation and has participated at a number of future leader’s conferences. Senara acts as the Assistant Secretary of the school Interact Club and is a member of the School Senior Western band.

As the Former Games Captain during the year 2017, her passion for sports is unlike any others. She’s a member of School Athletic Squad, as well as the captain of the school Netball Team. Senara has has being a prefect since 2017 and has participated the Minneriya Artillery Regiment Leadership Training program three times.

Ruwin Mapa

Ruwin Mapa

Head Boy - 2019

Ruwin Mapa stands as the Head Boy for the year 2019 at Royal International School – Kurunegala. He has successfully completed his IGCSE, becoming the the batch top with 5 A* and 2 A’s from the Science Stream. As a strong academic, Ruwin has achieved a bronze medal for Mathematics at the International Young Mathematics Convention in India. A natural orator with good command in both Sinhala and English, he has won 2nd place at the All Island Announcing Competition in 2018.

He is and active member of Sri Lanka Unites movement which promotes reconciliation in the country and has participated in a number of future leader’s conferences to uplift reconciliation among ethnic groups. Ruwin acts as the treasurer of the school Interact Club and was a member of the School Senior Western band. He’s is also a member of the RIS Model United Nations program. Ruwin has being a prefect since 2017, has participated in the Minneriya Artillery Regiment Leadership Training program three times during his term as a prefect.
