Life at RIS

Royal International School (RIS) was established in 1991 with the sole intention of providing an international level education in English medium for the children in the North Western Province of Sri Lanka.

With humble beginnings of just a handful of students, today the school has grown to a student population of 2880! We offer and encourage English Medium education as a fluent command in the English language is essential for achieving an effective education as well as for building rewarding careers.

Equal priority is given to facilitate extracurricular activities including art, drama, music, dancing and sports through an eminent and highly qualified team at a highly equipped learning environment, ensuring our students are physically, socially, mentally and emotionally strong and stable to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
