Cookery Sessions

Cookery is thoughtfully integrated into the Grade 5 & 6 curriculum to provide students with practical life skills while nurturing creativity and responsibility 

  • Teach nutrition, hygiene, and safe food preparation, helping students make informed food choices.
  • Foster creativity, measurement skills, and following instructions through hands-on cooking activities.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of accomplishment as students prepare dishes together.
  • Encourage cultural appreciation by exploring recipes from different cuisines.
  • Build problem-solving and planning skills, as students organize ingredients, time, and steps.
  • Enhance confidence and independence, giving students the pride of creating something tangible.
  • Integrate with other subjects, such as math (measuring, fractions), science (chemical reactions in cooking), and language (reading and following recipes).
