Grades 7 & 8 – Building Strong Foundations

Students in Grades 7 and 8 strengthen their core academic skills while being introduced to a broader range of subjects, clubs, and sports. These formative years emphasize:

  • Critical Thinking & Inquiry – Moving from rote learning to reasoning, analysis, and problemsolving across subjects.
  • Holistic Participation – Every student actively engages in sports, arts, clubs, and societies to develop confidence, teamwork, and creativity.
  • Leadership in Practice – Students begin taking on small responsibilities within classrooms, houses, and clubs, preparing them for greater leadership roles ahead.
  • Practical Learning & Real-World Exposure – Learning is extended beyond the classroom through industrial visits and educational field experiences, where students observe real workplace environments, conduct basic SWOT analyses, and gain firsthand understanding of professional practices.
  • Project-Based Exploration – Students undertake class research projects and participate in project exhibitions on advanced and interdisciplinary themes beyond the formal curriculum, nurturing curiosity, innovation, and presentation skills.
  • STEM Continuity – The STEM programme continues in Grade 7, strengthening foundations in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on activities and problembased learning.
